La Belle Patisserie was founded on a passion for food and a commitment to stepping out of stereotypes. Finding its feet at Perth’s Farmer’s Markets, La Belle Patisserie was ready to take the next step and open a second store in the recently redeveloped Belmont Forum Fresh Food Precinct.

Bento Box worked closely with La Belle Patisserie and award winning Interior Designers, Mata Design Studio, to bring the La Belle Patisserie story to life in-store. It was imperative that the cosy and approachable heart of La Belle Patisserie was expressed in every corner of the store. Not wanting to be thought of as ‘just another French patisserie’, it was important that we step away from French clichés and instead drill down to the core of what defines La Belle Patisserie.

La Belle Patisserie fulfils their commitment to delicious sweets in a cosy and approachable atmosphere. Bento Box conveyed this through holistic design and colour selection, using design techniques that resulted in an organic aesthetic. Furthermore Bento Box injected the personality of the brand into a series of character mascots who are featured across the business’s material. Mata Design Studio then interpreted Bento Box’s designs as a real-world fitout for the store. With the belief that a website should be a digital expression of a business’s physical space, Bento Box developed La Belle Patisserie’s web presence to be an extension of its store. The website is now a place where customers can ogle over delicious treats and entice them to come in for a bite.

Since working with Bento Box, La Belle Patisserie has continued to build on its success, with a beautiful, bustling Belmont store filled to the brim with French delights.
